ARRIVAL AT BAGDOGRA & TRANSFER TO PHUENTSHOLING

Your Bhutan Diwali journey begins with your arrival at Bagdogra Airport, where our representative will warmly welcome you. As you begin the drive towards Bhutan, the landscapes slowly change from busy towns to lush greenery, peaceful roads, and scenic tea garden stretches.

The route through the beautiful Dooars region offers refreshing mountain air, forest views, and river-side roads that make the journey enjoyable from the very beginning. After reaching Phuentsholing, the charming border town of Bhutan, complete the hotel check-in and relax after the journey.

In the evening, you can take a leisurely walk around the local market, explore the peaceful surroundings, or simply enjoy the calm atmosphere of Bhutan for the very first time.

PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU

Approx. 150 Km | 5–6 Hours

After breakfast, begin the immigration and permit formalities before entering deeper into the beautiful Himalayan kingdom. Once the formalities are completed, continue your scenic drive towards Bhutan’s capital city – Thimphu.

The road journey is filled with winding mountain roads, rivers flowing alongside the highway, prayer flags fluttering in the breeze, and endless green valleys that showcase Bhutan’s untouched beauty.

En route, visit the famous Kharbandi Gompa, a peaceful monastery known for its spiritual atmosphere and panoramic valley views.

Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in to your hotel and relax. The evening is free to enjoy the calm city atmosphere, explore nearby cafes, or simply soak in the charm of Bhutan’s unique capital city.

DOCHULA PASS & PUNAKHA EXCURSION

Approx. 200 Km Round Trip | 7–8 Hours

Today’s journey takes you through some of Bhutan’s most breathtaking mountain landscapes.

After breakfast, drive towards the famous Dochula Pass, one of Bhutan’s most scenic mountain passes. Located at a high altitude, Dochula offers spectacular Himalayan views on clear days along with the iconic 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens, beautifully standing amidst the misty mountains.

Spend some peaceful moments enjoying the fresh mountain air and capturing unforgettable photographs.

Continue your drive towards the beautiful Punakha Valley, known for its rivers, green hills, and historical importance. Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful monasteries and administrative fortresses, located beautifully at the confluence of two rivers.

The serene atmosphere, traditional Bhutanese architecture, and surrounding mountain views make this experience truly unforgettable.

THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING & TRANSFER TO PARO

Approx. 55 Km | 1.5–2 Hours

After breakfast, begin your Thimphu sightseeing tour.

Visit the iconic Buddha Dordenma, a massive golden Buddha statue overlooking the valley with mesmerizing panoramic views. The peaceful surroundings and spiritual atmosphere make this one of the most memorable experiences in Bhutan.

Next, visit Tashichho Dzong from outside, an important administrative and religious center known for its impressive Bhutanese architecture.

Continue to the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s national animal – the unique and rare Takin.

Later, visit the Simply Bhutan Living Museum, where you can experience traditional Bhutanese lifestyle, culture, handicrafts, and local traditions in an interactive way.

PARO FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING

Today is dedicated to exploring the cultural and scenic beauty of Paro.

Begin your sightseeing with a visit to the historic Rinpung Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most famous monasteries and fortresses known for its beautiful wooden architecture and spiritual importance.

Next, explore Ta Dzong National Museum, which houses fascinating collections related to Bhutanese culture, history, weapons, costumes, and traditional arts.

Visit the sacred Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and holiest temples in Bhutan, known for its peaceful spiritual environment.
