1. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are applicable when you cancel a confirmed booking by notifying us in writing at [email protected]. The refund amount depends on how far in advance the cancellation is made relative to the departure date.
2. Refund Schedule
The following cancellation charges apply based on the date of cancellation:
- 30+ days before departure: Full refund minus ₹1,000 processing fee per person
- 21-29 days before departure: 80% refund
- 15-20 days before departure: 50% refund
- 7-14 days before departure: 25% refund
- Less than 7 days / No-show: No refund
3. Refund Process
Once we receive your cancellation request:
- We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours
- Applicable refund amount will be calculated and communicated
- Refund will be processed within 7-10 business days
- Bank transfers typically take 3-5 additional business days to reflect
- Credit/debit card refunds may take up to 2 billing cycles
4. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Processing fees and booking charges
- Visa fees and permit costs already paid to government bodies
- Non-refundable hotel bookings (if applicable)
- Travel insurance premiums
- Any services already consumed
5. Trip Modifications
If you wish to modify your trip dates instead of canceling, we will make every effort to accommodate your request. Date changes made 15+ days before departure are free of charge (subject to availability). Changes within 15 days may incur additional costs.
6. Cancellation by Himalayan Yatra
If we cancel a trip due to insufficient bookings (for group tours), force majeure, or safety concerns, you will be offered:
- Full refund of all payments made, OR
- Credit towards a future trip of equal or greater value, OR
- Transfer to the next available departure date
We will notify you at least 7 days before departure in case of cancellation.
